Ben Armstrong


Ben Armstrong is a lifelong Coolidge Unified School District resident. From birth to the age of 25 Mr. Armstrong lived in Coolidge proper and then lived in San Tan Valley (Coolidge district) for three years. Upon leaving San Tan Valley in 2009, he moved back to Coolidge proper.

Mr. Armstrong is embarking upon his third year as the principal of West Elementary. In preparing for this position he has been a teacher (at Intermediate, McCray, and Heartland), a teacher on special assignment (Heartland), and an assistant principal (in the Florence Unified School District). Educationally, he has prepared himself for the position as he received an undergraduate degree in elementary education from Northern Arizona University in May of 2002. He received a masters in educational leadership in May of 2009 from Grand Canyon University. He is pursuing a doctoral degree from the University of Phoenix and has yet to complete the program.

Mr. Armstrong is married and has been for 13 years to his wife Brittany (who also is a lifelong CUSD resident). He has two amazing boys.

Andrea Cardona is the Assistant Principal at CHS/CJHS and alumni of the CHS - Class of 1982. She returned to Coolidge in 2002 after working in the hotel industry for 15 years. Ms. Cardona completed her undergraduate and teacher certification studies at Arizona State University, and holds a M. Ed. in Curriculum Development/Reading Endorsement from Grand Canyon University. The majority of her educational career has been in Career Technical Education (CTE) teaching Hotel Management and as a Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Advisor.
